LEVEL 2b – 100 PEOPLE — UPDATED 26 May 2020
HOLY FAMILY UPDATES and CHANGES
Now that the Government has modified L2 for religious communities, we move to the allowance of 100 persons in Church. This means some significant changes for us. Below are the updates and modifications. Please read them carefully.
~ There will now be 3 Sunday Masses:
~ The obligation to attend Sunday Mass is still suspended. This means that there is still no obligation to come to Mass on Sunday. If you are frail in health, elderly, worried about Covid, or feeling unwell, then don’t come; and continue to keep the Lord’s Day holy by domestic Prayer, Scripture reading, and Spiritual Reading.
~The 1st and 3rd Commandments of God still apply (Thou shalt worship the Lord your God & Thou shalt keep the Lord’s Day holy) and has NOT been suspended; and we must make every effort to keep holy the Lord’s Day through other spiritual exercises, if we legitimately can’t come to Mass.
~ Please email the parish office email@example.com to be allocated to a Mass if you wish to come on Sunday.
~At this stage the 9:30am Mass is fully booked; and 11am Mass is almost full. This is because we asked people to sign up at the beginning of L2; and then had to adjust when Cindy and her Comrades limited religious services to 10 people.
~ You might have to be allocated to the 8am Latin Mass which is currently half full.
~ There will be people at the door to tick you off from the list, or record your attendance. These sheets will be used at your final judgment before Almighty God Just kidding… . These are for contract tracing purposes.
~ There will be ushers to allocate you (and your “Bubble”) a seat. Sit with those in your “Bubble”.
~ Those in a “Bubble” do not need to keep the 1m distancing.
~ Every 2nd Pew will be used so as to give the 1m spacing. These will be marked.
~ There will be traffic wardens to direct traffic and parking onsite.
~ If you are parking onsite, please drive in on the left hand side, and drive out on the right hand Presbytery side.
~ If you park onsite, please leave quickly after your Mass so that those arriving for the next Mass can park easily onsite.
~ No more than 100 people in the Church at a time.
~ Please disinfect your hands on your way in and on your way out.
~ Please keep the social distance of 1m.
~ Wear a mask if you have one. This is mainly to avoid coughing issues in Church.
~ Sign in and out using the sheets provided on the table and provide contact tracing info.
~ The ushers will indicate to you when you can leave the Pew after Mass so that there is not a log-jam at the door as people sign out and leave.
~ Do not leave by the side-doors.
~ There will be no candles at the devotional areas and no kneelers there.
~ Bottles of Holy Water will be available to take home at the Church door. Please take only 1.
~ The Crying Room will be locked, so young children will have to be with you in the Pew.
~ There will be no usual gathering after Mass in the Hall, nor any Catechism classes.
~ Any other needed details will be explained to you at the Mass you attend.
~ Weekday Mass will now be at 9am (NOT 10am) Monday – Saturday (starting tomorrow Wed 27 May).
~ It will continue to be Live-streamed.
~ Daily Mass is open to the public.
~ Adoration, Rosary, and Chaplet from 4:30pm – 6:00pm TUES-SUN (not Monday) will continue, and now be open to any who wish to attend.
~ It will continue to be Live-streamed.
~ For this time of prayer, please enter and exit through the side door of the Church (Presbytery side). It will be unlocked. The main doors will be closed.
~ This afternoon/evening Adoration will not go indefinitely. It will cease at some point.
~ Morning Adoration will recommence from 8:00am – 8:45am TUES-SAT, and now be open to any who wish to attend.
~ Please follow all the Health and Safety guidelines etc.
~ THURSDAY & FRIDAY: 8:00-8:45am (before Mass) & 9:45am-10:20am (after Mass).
~ There will be no Confessions after Mass this Friday due to a Funeral.
~ SATURDAY: 8:00am-8:45am (before Mass); 9:45am-10:20am (after Mass), 3:00pm-4:00pm.
~ SUNDAY: 7:30am-7:50am (before Mass).
~ Please wear gloves when coming to confession so as to reduce the possibility of infection from the surfaces that you touch.
~ Penitents will have to disinfect the Confessional after use, using the spray provided, by spraying the surfaces that they touch and wiping them.
~ The main doors of the Church will be open daily…
~ Mon-Sat, from 7:45am – until 4pm.
~ Sundays 7:30am – until 4pm.
Anything further will be added as we go…
